Our story

Made with care

Alisa Jackson at her Ms. Zesty table at the farmers market
Alisa at the Urban Farming Institute Farmers Market

"My Jamaican grandmother taught me how herbs and spices could turn a meal into an expression of care."

I'm Alisa Jackson, and I created Ms. Zesty, a line of fruit and herb vinaigrettes inspired by the Caribbean household where I grew up.

Through the Urban Farming Institute's Urban Farmer Training Program, I developed farming skills that helped me bring those family traditions into a business of my own. Seasonal flavors and a connection to locally grown ingredients are at the heart of what I'm building.

Ms. Zesty is made for people who enjoy cooking and want something versatile in their kitchen. Every bottle works as a dressing and as a marinade.

Kitchen school

One bottle, many meals

A good vinaigrette is oil, acid and flavor. Fresh fruit, herbs and Caribbean-style seasoning are what make these unforgettable.

Shake it!

Look closely at a bottle of Ms. Zesty and you'll see real fruit, herbs and oil settle into layers. Nothing artificial holds it together, so give it a good shake before you pour.
